Gonna Shine

Addison took Jazz Funk dance her Kindergarten year. She started off in a Ballet class, but didn't like it after two class so we switched her. I think the Ballet class moved too slowly, and this girl needs constant motion! Her dance recital was to Sharpey's "Gonna Shine" from High School Musical. It was a very cute song for the girls and their outfits were colorful and funky! Addison wasn't feeling well a couple a days before the recital. Turned out to be strep throat. She was running a 103 fever the night before. I didn't think she would be able to do her recital, but she woke up and said she felt ok to do it!

This is her buddy Danielle. Danielle also was on swim team with Addison, so the two spent a lot of time together!

Nonnie and Papa came but Addison wouldn't take a picture with them. Addison's not much for being the star of the show. So Landry took a picture with Nonnie instead!

Mercer

Today we picked up one of Addison's BFFs and headed over to Mercer Aborateum to play! It's much prettier in the spring of course, but we still had lots of fun. I took first shift and David went for a run. Then I went for a run and when I got back, there were three cop cars and David had everyone loaded. As it turns out, a van dropped off some girls and they started fighting. A woman called the police, and then the kids took off. Really, at a park? We ventured to go to the aborateum at that point and do some exploring. There was a lot of walking involved, and I think everyone got tired! Mission accomplished! We'll head back in the Spring when the flowers are bloomed!

Happy 6th Birthday Addison!

Time really does go by too fast! Addison is six years old! She choose to have her birthday party at The Little Gym. She loves this place. This is her third birthday party there! It was neat to have her birthday and birthday party fall on the same day! It makes the day extra special when you can celebrate with all your friends!

Addison loves to sing. Her favorite artists now are Selena Gomez, Hannah Montana, and Taylor Swift. So, I made a CD with all her favorite songs so she can sing away on her new Barbie Karaoke!

Landry and Landon weren't feeling so great, so they spent their time in my lap. They ended up going home early and didn't get cake. Weeks later they are still asking about Addison's party and if we're going. Poor things!

With her friends Delaney, Katelyn, and Kasey!

Get your swords up!

Glad she picked the princess cake. The day will come too soon when she is too cool for princessess!

Cool candles we found. The flames were the color of the candle!

Me and my birthday girl! I just love her to pieces!

Landry slept through the fun!

Papa and Nonnie!

A special blanket that Nonnie knit. Addison loves the baby blanket that Nonnie knit, but I don't let her use them. So, she asked Nonnie to knit her a bigger blanket she can use. They picked out pretty yarn and Nonnie knit away adding in a little faux fur. Addison loves it and I don't fuss at her for using it!

Kinder Class Party

It's hard to believe her Kinder year is half over! We say farewell to the first semester with a little holiday fun!

Decorating her gingerbread cookie with her bestie Katelyn!

Landry was frequently found sneaking some cookie decorations!

The crew of Ms Clarey's class!

Four besties!

Our favorite Kinder teacher of all. Even on this hair raising day, Ms. Stacy looks amazing! We love her!

Best Friends

They are partners in crime for sure! They get along very well most of the time. Landon looks after Landry all the time and always needs to know where she is. He's protective of her and comforts her. She is the leader and he is her shadow. When she is hurt or sad, he brings her her lovey. Hopefully they will always be best friends!

Boo at the Zoo

The weather for the zoo was perfect for Zoo Boo, and most of Houston thought so too! That's ok. We always enjoy Zoo Boo despite the crowds! We got to see the new elephant exhibit and learned that adult females and their babies shun the adult male. That's why the grown females and the baby elephants live together and the male lives by himself. Sad. Addie couldn't understand why he had to be by himself. I asked her if we should do that to daddy and she said no! haha

Landon just doesn't want to be photogenic these days! :)

Showing the color of her tongue from the tootsie pop!

The girls! Addison loved the painted pumpkins!

Landry and Daddy at the new rhino exhibit! The view is always better on daddy's shoulders.

Landry was the only one who would feed the giraffe. She's our adventurous one!

Off to the Pumpkin Patch

Landon's been talking about going to the pumpkin patch for weeks. We decided to head to a little pumpkin patch and go to our favorite one after Halloween because it was super busy and hot last year when we went. This little place was just right though. We picked up a nice pumpkin to carve and some gourds. Landon's gourd looks like an egg, Landry calls hers a star, and Addison picked out a nice variety! Landry wasn't a pick fan of sitting in the spot with all the pumpkins because of the flies.
For someone who only talked about going to the pumpkin patch for weeks, he sure looks thrilled!
Hard to get all three to look at the camera!

Addison liked the big spider!

The girls! See all the Christmas trees in the background? We will come back in a couple of months and pick one up!
Off we go. Landry wanted to hold Landon's hand because of the cars!
